A couple of the folks at Animax got together and wrote this great book -ok, I’m partial but I did get to read some of the chapters and the workflow is one used by our studio every day. Here’s the blurb …

Are you a Flash Animator or do you just want to look like one? Then you need to get your hands on the brand new book

Foundation Flash Cartoon Animation (Foundation)

written by Animax Entertainment folks Tim Jones, Allan Rosson, Barry Kelly, and Dave Wolfe (he comes and goes round these parts). The Tuttles Madcap Misadventures and Other News from Animax

Posted in HodgePodge on November 28th, 2007 by burtabreu

I’m in my sixth month here at Animax and having a great time designing elements for Flash games, interactive websites and animated films. I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by so many talented creative folks -hope more of it rubs off.

There are two items on the official Animax news page I thought I’d share.

Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, Legacy Interactive and Animax Entertainment today launched The Tuttles Madcap Misadventures: Starlight Starbright Charity Challenge (www.tuttlesfamilygame.com), a casual platformer style downloadable videogame that pairs having a good time with doing good. Call it ‘funraising.’ Animax wrote the script and directed the celebrity voice actors and helped conceive and create the game and animations. Actors William Shatner, Bob Saget, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ashley Tisdale, Dominic Scott Kay, Dave Coulier and Animax’s very own Dave Thomas contributed their voices to the animated game.

Supporters can try the game at www.tuttlesfamilygame.com and purchase it for $19.99 with $15 of that amount coming back to Starlight to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

Read the official press release here.

Animax relaunched the “Coping with Chemo” site for Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation - the series of Flash animated webisodes helps kids who have cancer understand the physical, emotional, and social impact of chemotherapy treatment.
